Colangelo's first Raptors trade: Rafael Araújo to Utah for Kris Humphries
New Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo made his first trade with Toronto, sending 2004 No. 8 overall pick Rafael Araújo — widely viewed as a draft bust — to the Utah Jazz along with cash, in exchange for forward Kris Humphries and centre Robert Whaley. Humphries played parts of three seasons in Toronto before a long career elsewhere. The deal was an early signal of Colangelo clearing out the previous regime's roster.
