Garrett Temple's contract with Toronto is made official
Veteran guard Garrett Temple's return to the Raptors became official on July 5, 2024, when Basketball-Reference's transaction log records Toronto signing him. The one-year, roughly $3.3M minimum deal had been reported as agreed on July 1, once free agency opened; the paperwork could only be filed after the league's July moratorium. Temple, then 38 and in his 15th NBA season, had joined Toronto the previous summer and served mostly as a locker-room voice for a very young roster, averaging 3.3 points in 27 games. It is the only Raptors transaction on record for July 5 in franchise history.
