Raptors waive Dwayne Jones, a month after the Hedo Turkoglu trade
Toronto acquired centre Dwayne Jones from Phoenix on July 14, 2010 alongside Leandro Barbosa in the trade that sent Hedo Turkoglu to the Suns. Jones was salary filler rather than a rotation piece: on August 13, 2010 the Raptors released him without his ever appearing in a game for Toronto, and he re-signed with Phoenix on August 30. Minor bookkeeping, but it is the one dated Raptors transaction the record shows for August 13 in franchise history.
